I am buying a Heym .450 Rigby, so I need to sell this one to stay on budget for my lion hunt in July.

That rifle belongs to my wife. I'm not even allowed to look at it without permission.

This 404 is a true bargain, and it's one of Africas greatest calibers..I prefer it to any 40 caliber out there..

The M-70 RUM conversions are very successful as the action is correct for the .404 Jefferys. At $2500 it is a bloody steal and I know you can't come close to duplicating it for that kind of money...

I can't imagine selling it to buy a Hyem...or wanting a 450 over a .404 for that matter! shocker

Unfortunately I am presently building a .404 Jefferys on one of Searcy RSA actions and its getting close to completion. 60 days ago I would have jumped on this one like a duck on a June bug..

Ray,

Thanks for the plug! I hate to sell it, but it makes more sense for me to buy the Heym because I already have a Model 70 .416 Rem. I actually shot the .404 this weekend out at Wendell Reich's ranch, and hit the bullseye at 60 yards off hand; that REALLY made me want to keep it, but it has to go.
