The one on top is a springfield in .257 roberts.
the one on the bottom is millsurp mauser in 6.5X57
done by the same guy , he is a frend of mine who does checkering as a second job.
While these rifles are in my opinion very nice for the price.
I paid less for either rifle than some guys pay for there stock blank.

Look for some of my posts on the 585 AHR and 600OK - I have pictures posted there of AHR's handiwork on both.

An Al Biesen interpretation. It is interesting to see the variation on the fleur-de-lis proportions and shapes.

So far, I think ozark hunters 35 Whelen is closest to the right proportions and shape.

Into my heart on air that kills
From yon far country blows:
What are those blue remembered hills,
What spires, what farms are those?
That is the land of lost content,
I see it shining plain,
The happy highways where I went
And cannot come again.

Aaaah The Fleur-de-lis (E before U... I took french)

Flower of the lilly...or the Iris. Why put a french symbol or a flower on your gun? How about something more manly and not french Wink

Just kidding... I like the look of them too. Especialy the bearded iris... very vaginal Big Grin

I kinda like the club or clover checkering more.
like this cowgirl one =)
