Von Gruff.

Definately to much bend...Would look great straightened out!

Ditto.
I can't see what he did with the safety. Is it all new?

lawndartThe safety is still there. It just blended in.
Lordy, Lordy, finally a Ruger done right.
Those bolt handle are a Leonard Brownell design. They actually work pretty well.
That is one Harmonious rifle. Good jobs all the way around.

Ezra4570The rifle is on it's way to me! The whole package from Wayne is $2800.00!! Wow

boom stickI'd love to see this done to a 416 Ruger.
Maybe a "Field grade" version with a carbon fiber stock to swap between.

Ok...so Leonard Brownell designed a dogleg bolt handle slightly less ugly than the P14/M17 bolt handle. I'm not a proponent of dogleg bolt handles so it does nothing for me. Yes it works just fine as do the P14/M17 bolt handles…but they are aesthetically ugly as well, even more so than the Ruger bolt handle.
It’s really unfortunately that AHR didn’t include “bolt straightening” as part of their basic Ruger package as they’ve done with the CZ…it would really have enhanced the looks of the rifle.
Give me a nice Oberndorf or Burgess straight style bolt handle, plain or checkered, any day. But that’s my 2₵.

boom stickI am hope they can do it as an option. I wonder at what cost.

Well it should be far less than the CZ Upgrade #1 as the M77 Ruger Hawkeye already possesses a 3-position safety and an adjustable single-stage trigger. Although they may need to offer the Ruger M77 Upgrade #1 as an alacart option menu to cover earlier M77 rifles that also require replacement of the non-adjustable trigger.
Anyway, here are the prices quotations with required work for CZ owners…copied today from the AHR website:
