Gentlemen

I had problems with some .500 Jeffery cases from Kymanco I think it is Bertram brass.
They are .005 mm thinner then cases from Horneber.
The Bertram brass will not hold the bullet tight enough with the reloading dies that I use. Triebel dies.
Any advise I have about 150 of these cases Mad
Lucky for me I also have 130 Horneber cases Wink

PS I like the new smilies Big Grin

Cheers,

André

Hi Andre

I would: Use the poor brass for practise and the rest for hunting.
When you shoot bullets from the poor brass, use one round at a time, so the recoil will not affect rounds in magazine. or maybe if there is a cannelure on your bullets, then use that and you will probably find that the brass will hold on enough.
I assume that you have started reloading yourself?

PS When am I going to get a chance to shoot that big Bertha of yours.

Yes Bruce does make cases for Kynoch.

Looks like you will need to get a new sizer die, does your current sizer have an expander ball, if so you could try taking it out and see if that works, if so you would then need to put a smaller caliber expander/decapper in.

Next time I meet you at the range you can shoot her Wink
The Bruce makes a very poor product Mad What crap brass.
Maybe I will use for practice or sell it to someone for wildcat use.

I had some of Bertram's 500 NE brass which I had to throw in the garbage since I do not own a lathe which I could use to turn it down to the proper dimensions.
