To The Group: I have narrowed my ruger RSM reboring to one of the following (470Capstick, 470Mbogo, 505 Gibbs, or 500A2). Now I have opened the no mag rim vs rimmed can of worms. If I some day want to use this rifle for REAL DG Hunting is having the H&H or A2 mag rim really that problematic??? I have read alot about it being a no-no on a true DGR. Any input would be great. Thanks Brad

ALL of them shoot. perhaps not all moa or better, but all are fun. of the choices, I like the mbogo the best jeffe opinions vary band of bubbas and STC hunting Club Information on Ammoguide about the416AR, 458AR, 470AR, 500AR What is an AR round? Basically its your call. All are good cartridges. I'll bet most of those that want to believe belts are bad really have very little if any DG experience in reality. Probably even less actual trigger time. Frankly to be a DGR it first has to be a stone reliable feeding gun. Using this logic, the vaunted .375H&H which has accounted for more DG than any cartridge other than the 7.62X39 doesn't qualify for DG. NOT! Finally, I'd go with the 500a2 followed by the .470 MBOGO. I've built both and shot both.-Rob Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large numbers to do incredibly stupid things- AH (1941)- Harry Reid (aka Smeagle) 2012 Nothing Up my sleeves but never without a plan and never ever without a surprise!
