No a fine piece like that needs a top dollar scope. I think a nice zeiss or Swarovski would look right on that rig. Maybe get a nice Mcmillian stock for it?

Dan, no peep sight, it is closer to being a buckhorn rear and a partridge front. The rear sight being the up rights for the cannon lock.

As for scoping it, I thing an Aimpoint would be the best option. Do they make one with a bullet drop compensator out to say, 2000 yds. bewildered

It would make the great Elmer Keith proud!!! Would be tought to carry through the brush, but then again, 1.5" projectile is probably close to 5 lbs, I don't think deflection will be much of a problem, all you need is a sight picture.... I wonder if Magnum research can chamber one in their BFR......
