I checked all the big online gun sale websites, but coudln't find any examples. What would be a fair price for a M70 All-Weather (stainless) in 375 H&H? The rear sight is missing if that would influence price.

Thanks for your input!

Is it CRF? If not then it will not likely sell for $1000. If it is CRF then you can expect that because FN does not offer a 375 in stainless.

You did not mention if it was right handed or left. If it is left handed I would ask considerably more. A left handed CRF stainless 375 in say an Accurate Innovations stock would be a prize possesion indeed.

It's right handed and CRF. The only thing non-stock about it is the missing rear sight.

the older CFR have become quite popular and they have been bringing premium prices of late. I know of two that sold for $1500 and $1650..They are no longer available and as soon as that happens you can bet they will go up in price.

I bought mine new in 07 for $1,300. It really is a nice hunting rifle. I keep saying that I'm not a 375H&H fan but it's amazing how often I find that gun in my hands while on a hunt!

Don't even ask what a LH stainless M70 Classic in 375 H&H or 416 Rem goes for now. You'd think Winchester would wake up and smell the coffee and make their Model 70 Safari Express in stainless / synthetic with CeraKote an option. A left handed version would be real nice too for those that the Sisters of Mercy didn't convert to right handed like they did me lol ...

I have one from the old New Haven plant SS 375's and it consistantly shoots under 1/2". I have a 20 shot (that's twenty) group than measures under .750.. They were shot consecutively with no cooling other than time to reload 3 rounds (this gun only holds 3 down). I bought 2 at same time and other one has been in constant use by a PH friend I gave it to in Zimbabwe. Have had zero problems with either one that I am aware of.I have yet to see one of these 'crappy' New haven guns and I have seen a lot of Mdl 70's. For some reason I must be the absolutely luckiest gun owner in the world as most of my guns work well shoot straight and have few faults. The concensus on these forums don't seem to follow that trend. I feel sorry for all those people who buy such poor guns. It's a shame ,really.

Your not the only one! I have a safe full of them right now and have never had one of the "bad ones." My .270 Classic Stainless shoots anybody's factory ammo into less than an inch. It's ugly and I hate the plastic stock but I'm afraid to touch it, might screw it up. Big Grin

My SS 375 mentioned in an earlier post is also a New Haven rifle. Absolutely no problems at all. Gun is very accurate and feeds like butter! I must be one of the lucky ones as well.
