Anyone have one? I have one in .458 Lott, but looks like Kimber has quit making them except in .375. Let me know if I'm wrong.

My .458 Lott is outfitted with a ghost ring and seems perfect for elephant, although I had my issues with Kimber. The barrel ring came loose after around 3 shots and the front sight post was too tall. So I sent it back to address both issues and they charged me shipping, which didn't sit well, but I think it's a great rifle. Was thinking about taking it with on an elephant hunt with my .416 as a light rifle (scoped in case the shot is over around 50 yards).

Welcome thoughts.

The barrel-band would be a warranty issue but I'm not sure free postage is usually included. I know Leupold and other scope makers give it, but believe that is to take our minds off the fragility of the 'constantly centered' concept, which has engulfed the art.

I have one in 416 RM. the stock bolt covers were lose. No big deal. Shoots lights out. I do not care for the recoil lug, but that is it.

The front stud for the sling is mixed from the stock to a metal band that is soldered into the barrel.
