What consumer comment has there been so far, if any, on the new Montana DG rifles ? Any info in how they're priced against Win M70 and Ruger M77 rifles ? Hunting.... it's not everything, it's the only thing.

In the video, he made the comment that they found a way to do things cheaper. Looking at the website, the Tsavo in .375 H&H is listed at $3595. I believe that to be about twice as much as the Winchester M70, current production, in the same caliber. Just a thought. It looks very much like a current M70, except it has the fore end tip and gold trigger. Other than that, IMO, it appears to be a copy of the M70 at double the price.

Are they still using that goofy, non-integral recoil lug?

I got to handle and take one down earlier this year. The new owners are definitely taking the company in a better direction. PROS: *New machined receiver is better than old one. *old M70-style trigger, but better. *better fit and finish. CONS: *Stupid "California-style" stock. *Stupid Sako 85 style recoil lug. *DG rifle is only chambered in 375 H&H. Value is in the eye of beholder. It's way cheaper than a Parkwest, but far from Parkwest quality and features. Could you buy a M70 Safari Express, bed the stock, add a Timney trigger and have the same for cheaper...probably.
