Would anyone here know fo cartridges in the .458 caliber class with capacity around 73.8 grains. I'm working up loads for my M70 .450 Marlin using spitzer type bullets. I've been told that the .458-284 wildcat, at 75.7 grains and the .458-350 Rem. Mag. at 73.0 grains are about as close as I can expect but I can't find any loading information on them. Can anybody here help?

Lawdog, Post the specs of you gun.. barrel length, what it's built off, what bullets you would like to shoot and what powders. Then, please, email me with a request for quickload data. i'll try to help you out. It's the same as a 458x2" for what that's worth jeffe

Thanks but, I already have a Remington 700 Classic in .350 RemMag and thought tis would keep me in the "boss's" good stead..aka not in doghouse for another gun.... Also, from the information that I have been able to gather, it seems as the 458-350 has some more capacity than the 458x2 or the 450 Marlin though still not the capacity of the 45-70.. Then also any of them move me off of the "rimmed cartridge" and into the more standard cartridge and either of the 458-xx's to a more universal case design. That's what I thought and the reasons for my choices. All wet, perhaps. Take Care jeffe bill
