Whats the largest chambering one can have in the Ruger no. 1 or that any of you people know of and still have enough meat around the chamber for safety ? .577 .600 ? | ||

Probably too big. I wouldn't go that big. 15/16" shank diameter. Do the hoop and radial stress calculations to see what's the max. | |||

Thanks Tom, I'm toying with selling this big guy. If you're interested, let's discuss. It is a complete rebarrel job with much other mods. SSK built it for me in 04. I have a lot of load data, hunting data, and cast bullets data. It's a really fun gun and easy to carry hunting & will REALLY "deliver the mail" | |||
