I presume that it can't fire a 458 win mag -- I don't see how it would, but it seems as if everything else shoots a 458 Win, so I thought I'd ask... Now, I saw a nice 7MM Mag Ruger in stainless w. the canoe paddle stock -- what's the mag capacity if it's converted? If I can learn to handle the recoil, it seems like it'd make a good "toting" big bore... not that my Mark X 458 win mag, or 375R alaskan don't already fill that role... it won't SAFELY shoot a winmag, though I haven't tried one in it.... with the paddle stock, and some mag work, you can easily get 2+1, and may get 3+1 .. and your ruger will EASILY push over the top feed... ask some of the fellas with em what they think of them! opinions vary band of bubbas and STC hunting Club Information on Ammoguide about the416AR, 458AR, 470AR, 500AR What is an AR round? Ask me in 6-8 weeks and I'll tell you what it feels like to shoot with a weighted boat-paddle. I swear the boat-paddle is the "test-mule" stock ... promise! Cheers... Con | |||
