Remington is about to be owned by a pack of lawyers. By the time they're finished, Remington and Barnes may be finished.

Remington is not the parent company. They are also owned by the parent company, just like Dakota Arms, and all the others in the conglomerate.

Barnes runs their company just as before, and makes their own marketing decisions.

If they price it in line with Hornady, they will do well. If they choose to price it in line with Federal, they might as well give it up now.

To me it seems like a marketing mistake for them to make their own ammo because that puts them in direct competition with Federal, who loads a line of Barnes bullets. Why shouldn't Federal drop that line if Barnes is going to go head-to-head with them? That's just my opinion...

Yup husky is right. got some samples. Norma made cases, RWS lead free primers and new Bofors extra temp stable double based stick powders...Good stuff, mostly loaded to slightly higher velocities than Norma loaded them to.

Gentlemen,
Happy new year. Frankly, I don't give much credence in your memories. Here , page 4. Read what barnes says, not what you recall. http://www.barnesbullets.com/w...ucts-release-PDF.pdf

No need to eat crow, but do read what barnes says they do, rather than what you recall.

I am merely presenting what barnes says, your crappy attitude at me is rather uncalled for.

Headstamp on the cases? I guess don't sell norma case in the us, then? Not hard to understand that cases can be sold to anyone and loaded anywhere. Just don't care about SPECULATION.

What will happen after the first vintage double rifle owner sues because of barrel separation after using this stuff?

He'll likely lose in any court and then be banished by the DR community.

Well, I have just Put 100 or so factory test ammo (solids) through a .458 Lott through a Zoli with no trouble.

Would I give some 450/400 to my uncle for use in his Woodward...probably not but the barnes give about the same barrel expansion as do the woodleigh solids in my .375 H&H (with measuring system at chamber and breech end

They are cerainly safe to use in any post WWII double Good ammo! Soft primers for absolutely reliable ignition in a double with weak fireing pin strike but flame heat and patern the same as Winchester magnum. Randy Brooks and Tim Jansen have certainly gathered the best componants they could to match their bullets. TSX and Solids have shot to same point of impact in the limmited tests I have carried out

I don't care where the ammo is loaded, but what interests me is the .416 350gr TTSX BT they show as available January 2011 about eight pages into the flyer.

(and the 9.3mm 250gr TTSX too)

Me, too.

That 416 tipped TSX should really fill a gap in the hunting bullet lineup. for the first time we will have a "real BC" in an over-40 calibre bullet, capable of longrange eland and buffalo up close at the same time.

500 AccRel Nyati, 416 Rigby or 416 Ruger, 375Ruger or 338WM, 308 or 270, 243, 223" --
