The correct velocity for the 458 LOTT per several PH owners of said caliber is 2,250 FPS.

When I stated 2,200 FPS I was blowing hot air out of my mouth instead of my ass. Oh well, it was just as sweet, anyway.

if the 458 winmag at 2150 + 62,800 PSi si the problem, then 2300 at 62,800 aint the answer ...

2200 at about 52,000 psi, however, IS

I have to disagree with jeff, politely

if it were 45fps we were talking about I'd say sure, no problem, but we're talking 50. Now its acceptable when talking to guys about your loads to "round" to the nearest hundred FPS, if we're off by 45fps we'd have to round down to 2200, well that's not cool so we'd say 2245. BUT if it's 50fps, well then we get to round to 2300! Oh, it's doin' "about" 2300fps. Big Grin

I think that he was measureing the Volocity and
not the recoil. With my 458 Lott with a 500gr solid bullet it will go 2363 ft per second
