boom stick39 Whelen, .395 Ruger, .395 GSC, 398 Lapua Mag, .395 Tatanka
rip...the way the 395 ruger looks going to 423 416 and 411 will be great on that case as well...
can you do a 416 and 423 for some ogling...
i see the 395 ruger/395 gsc being quite the champ for semi long distance to smack down do all carts!
the 06 versions will be enough for lions tigers and bears oh, my!
the lapua and rigby...well now that is style and a serious performer.
hey, that new 416 barret would be awesome with the 395"s....
Boom stick,
This Big Five does have it pretty well covered for .395 caliber utility, and then some.

I'll dummy up some .375 Ruger as
.416

.423

.458

to see what is left on the shoulder.
May have to forget the .458 Ruger and go to a .338 or .308 Ruger to complete the .375 Ruger wildcat line.

prof242RIP,
If Boom Stick keeps this up, I'm going to go broke! My son has already claimed my .375H&H barrel after the .395 is completed. Having my druthers, I think the .423 or the .458 (if possible) would be my next choice.
NO, haven't deserted the .395 as this is just something that will do it all, plus start enough conversations at gunclubs and adult libation establishments.

Max,
Make it a switch-barrel.

While waiting for Stuart Satterlee to finish an action, when the barrels come in, one will go first to a Dakota 76 action that is .423 Lapua as a switch-barrel to .395 Tatanka. We'll see what shakes out after that.

Everybody and his brother is going to want one or more of these Big Five .395's, and you and I and Gerard will be the first kids on our blocks with one.

prof242RIP,
Since most of my rifles have an extra barrel or two, I figured this one might as well, also.
The idea of the .395 Brown-Whelen also has me thinking. I've got both a .30-06 and a .338-06 that need an extra barrel.

Hang in there prof242,
Barrels are incoming ... whenever the carbide button maker gets off his arse ...

Gerard says the .395 GSC reamers (by Dave Manson) survived the trip across the black hole.
Applause for the USPS.

They deserve to raise the price of a 1 oz. letter stamp from 39 cents to 41 cents for that.

Oh yes, those .375 Ruger wildcat dummies ... and that reminds me that I need to email Ed Reynolds and ask about that .416 Ruger, one-off wildcat from the last century. Later.
