Can you tell us the following: 1. What is the weight of the Impala bullet? 2. What is your objective with the Impala (i.e., high velocity for a flat trajectory, low velocity for low recoil, etc.)? Thanks.

500grains The weight is 370 grn ( like it says on the package in the picture ) ![]() I am going for flat trajectory. And the cool look ![]() I will try some on wild boar. I was told by Helmut Eller the austrian destributer : Quote: Cheers, Andr

500grains Impala bullets have no load for the .500 Jeffery The VihtaVuori N140 has teh same burn rate as Reloader 15 The loads from Helmut(post above) is proven loads. http://www.impalabullets.co.za/home.htm Sorry about the pictures not showing up ![]() ![]() Cheers, Andr

Andre, For such light bullets, I would first chrono the Re15 load to max (either 2700 fps or primers starting to flatten). Then I would drop back 15-20 grains and try Re12 and work up again to max. The idea is that a faster burning powder will help you achive higher velocity with a light bullet.
