Surgery was a success. I won't have to worry about another gallstone attack. Damn that hurt!

I get to take it easy and do "Better Living Through Chemistry" for a few days.

Thank You! to all of you for the Prayers, Best Wishes, and Kind Thoughts, for my speedy recovery!

When so many reach out extend their support, I am humbly reminded of the fact that my life has been so enriched by the friends and acquaintances I would have never known about had it not been for AR. Once again I thanks you all!

Kindest regards,

Rusty

The ladder of pain relief:

Tylenol 3: Yawn.

Vicodin: Hmmmmm . . .

Oxycodone: Now you're getting my lack of attention . . .

Demerol: What? Where am I? Who am I? Why are we all here? What is the meaning of this?

Not sure where you are on your ladder, Rusty, but glad you're well for now and getting better, and hope you're in a pain free, happy place! Cool

Did they have to do an open cholecystectomy or the laparoscopic?

Laparoscopic is a piece of cake.

I had my prostate pulled out through my belly button a year ago, due to prostate cancer,
and told them to stop giving me that IV dilaudid as soon as I woke up.
I took Tylenol for one day and then needed nothing for pain,
even though I had a Foley catheter in my pecker for 6 days after surgery.

Get well soon Rusty.

Rusty: Good to hear you are home. My daughter had the laparoscopic procedure about a month ago, and said she was pretty sore for several days, but each day went better. So your pain curve should be steep and short!
