I recently purchased Bitteroot's PH stock pattern that was used for the rifle shown here:

I am only building two rifles and would like to pass it on at some point. If someone knows an interested stock turner that would like to inventory it for PH users, I may forward to them under the premise that I get a small negotiated fee for the first few. After that the stock turner would own it.

Failing that, I'll be glad to rent it out to your turner for a very nominal amount that would include all shipping.

Failing all of the above, let's hope its cold enough for a fire in Houston next winter.

Neal,

good to see your post. I was wondering where you have been lately.

I am not a stock maker but do have a blank from Roger Vardy inbound to me. I had him choose the blank for its strength knowing it was intended for a .600 OK. Would anyone be willing to turn the blank into a semi-inlet stock for me?

I would at least love to know where I could have one made in the future once the build gets farther along.

Is this why you backed out of selling me the "Twins?"

You are a dog!

A question.

When you purchase a pattern that has been developed by someone else, are you purchasing the use of that pattern or the pattern itself.

Kind of like software or music on a CD or a photograph or many other forms of art.

I think I would ask the developer of the pattern what he/she thinks about it first.

AHR's PH pattern now belongs to Tiggertate. He can happily do with it as he wishes.

Great looking stock.

Bitterroot, did you decide to go with something else now that you are using the Wiebe bottom metal?

I would think that the Wiebe bottom metal would permit a sharper taper to the fore end tip, more in line with the pure British style.

A style I like very much, BTW. Big Grin

Hi Michael,

Yes, we are making a new stock for the CZ Magnum to go along with the new bottom-metal, which is different enough to require one. It also gives us a chance to come up with something new and a little different. I like the short, sloping for-end also, and that is the direction we will be heading.

The pattern that we sold, the one pictured above, is for the MRC PH, which we will no longer be working with.

I did. A little due diligence never hurts.
