I wondered if anybody has used Win 760 in a 375 H&H with 270 gr bullets and what did they think about it?
Thanks in advance

Regards,
Bob.

Bob,

Sorry, I can't answer your specific question but I have found that 760 burns clean and generates consistent, high velocities with zero signs of elevated pressure in my 600OK, 416WBY and 378 WBY and Pop's 585AHR.

Good luck with the 760 - it is one of my favorites.

Believe that is would be a good powder with the270gr bullets.

I stick to 300gr bullets in the 375. For that application W760 is great. My best 300gr load is 78.5 gr of W760.

For a given pressure, 760/H414 beats the darling RE15 by nearly 100fps with the 300 grainer. Never tried it with a 270 but suspect roughly similar results.

I've been shooting some H414 in my .375 H&H with the Hornady 270gr spitzer. Groups have been under an inch and seems pretty consistent so far.

Next up is the 260gr Nosler Accubond with the same powder.

H414 and 250 gr. SGk's in a .375 Wby is pretty impressive. Oughta do just fine with the 260 AccuBangs.

One of my dear old hunting buddies had a pet load for Winchester 760... kinda hot the way he loaded it but damn accurate in his Sako Deluxe. He took a half dozen buff bulls with that load and the old Failsafe bullet. I probably can dig it up with a bit of work. PM me if interested.
