Jeff,

There is a point where it moves from being a hobby to being an obsession. Go on, admit it. You have a problem. Same as the rest of us. You love this stuff.

What did you think of the 500 A-Square? I have a PH action on order from MRC and I am trying to figure out what to put in it. It's a natural for the .505 Gibbs but I was thinking about a .500 A-Square as well.

Dave,
the 500A2 is a great round, just don't run it at godzilla pressures all the time.

HOWEVER, for the PH, i do suggest the 500 AR, as when loaded with BMG bullets, it COULD be made to feed from the PH mag!

Chris and Keith ... its amazing how many of our calibers are not just the same caliber, but the same gun! We all over to share!

Mike - Heh, spend a weekend in Houston, Shooting.. we can get most of these to the range on short notice!

416 Rigby (own 1 sold 1)
44 Magnum (own 1)
45 Long Colt (own 1)

Would like to eventually have 500 and 577 to fill the gap between my Lott and Overkill (It’s all about being well rounded)…

Maybe the topic should have been "big bores hunted with," or "big bores we wish we would/could have hunted with or shot." In that case... 450/400 3" and/or 450/400 3 1/4". I'll throw in the 404 J. The answers to the real topic are uninteresting and previously stated.
