Really nice job forging the bolt handle! And it fits perfectly in the cutout of the stock... reel custom work!

exactly.....looks like a prairie dog gun.....

The Buy now price of 1,300 is interesting....but there's no rerserve and the current bid is under $400

any bets the current bid owns it in the end?

Dan,

Are you trying to part with something you'd rather not own up to?.... Cool

sofa

Seriously though, why the hell would someone want a 458 without open sights on it? That seems like a contradiction. I'd say the rifle has some potential, but not for the amount he's asking for it. I will also say that all the professionally forged bolt handles I own look light years ahead of what this fellow welded on. Yuck!

I think 500grains is trying to get a Big Grin out of everyone.

Peter,
a 9# (i bet this one is more fully loaded) is a puppy and a bipod wuold work.

it's about a 1 hour exercise to add sights...

if it feeds, well, it's better than a remmie custom mshop for 2.5k

Gentlemen,

If I owned that rifle I would chamber an extreme overload and pull the trigger with a 50 foot piece of string to save unwary buyers from the embarassing fate of showing up in hunting camp with such a monstrosity.

Gee, $65 would get a decent looking bolt handle!

Jeffeosso, I assume you mean that it weighs 9 pounds? With that size barrel I am sure it does, but the balance would be odd to say the least. Interesting configuration. Looking at the verbiage, I wonder if it has been fired, ever.

Probably thats why it's for sale. I'd bet it also comes with a box of factory ammo that was 19 unfired rounds in it clap

And I agree with invader66 on gun choice Big Grin
