Selby's flat bed truck delayed the safari, Horn of the Hunter would have read like an indictment of Selby. But Ruark rolled with the punches, poured some gin, and enjoyed the adventure.

Doesn't everyone round 2325 UP to 2400????? So the claim is 2400 the ad says 2325 wonder what real life will be.
As usual just my $.02

RIPThey are claiming 2325 fps for 400-grainer out of a 20" barreled .416 Ruger.
.416 Rigby factory ammo sure won't go that fast with 400-grainers from a 20" barrel.
Add 4" of barrel and you are likely closer to 2425 fps with 400-grainer and the .416 Ruger.
Might have to make it a perfect 23" barrel to slow it down to 2400 fps.
Like the African.
I wish they made them with 23" barrels instead of 20".

Will all models have 20" barrels?

MileHighShooterI'm sure the African will be available in the same trim as the 375 is i.e. with a 24" barrel?

gumboot458If you figure 25 fps per inch of barrel length , and add 3 inches to the barrel length of the 20" 416 Ruger Hawkeye Alaskan , you get 2400 fps for the 416 Ruger Hawkeye African ........
... Huh Whadya know ,,, Magine that .....Huh ... Nice little video , thanks for posting it ....
.If it can,t be grown , its gotta be mined ....
