Does anyone know what manufacturer makes the Columbia, SC M70 barrels? I found a pre made quarter rib express sight that I want to try but it is made for a Douglas or Shilen barrel. Maybe someone has already used these and can tell me which one I need. Thank you for any help or advise in advance. http://www.brownells.com/.aspx...06-005/Product/-5-D-

You still have to fit them on any barrel or they won't look right to the experienced eye. Sometimes if you get lucky it can be done with a good wack from a lead hammer or so one real good metalsmith once told me and all his looked good, but I have not tried it... I have a friend who can help me with honing the quarter rib for a perfect fit and he can also mill the area for the sight blade. I would just like to get the one closest to the right fit to save some work. This is better than trying to build one from scratch if it's close. I measured the dimensions of my barrel and compared them to Shilen and Douglas website. It seems Douglas is a very close match. Of course thats the only one on backorder.
