Sid-M70 barrel question?
Does anyone know what manufacturer makes the Columbia, SC M70 barrels? I found a pre made quarter rib express sight that I want to try but it is made for a Douglas or Shilen barrel. Maybe someone has already used these and can tell me which one I need. Thank you for any help or advise in advance.

AtkinsonYou still have to fit them on any barrel or they won't look right to the experienced eye. Sometimes if you get lucky it can be done with a good wack from a lead hammer or so one real good metalsmith once told me and all his looked good, but I have not tried it...

Sid-I have a friend who can help me with honing the quarter rib for a perfect fit and he can also mill the area for the sight blade. I would just like to get the one closest to the right fit to save some work. This is better than trying to build one from scratch if it's close.
I measured the dimensions of my barrel and compared them to Shilen and Douglas website. It seems Douglas is a very close match. Of course thats the only one on backorder.
