I recently purchased a CZ 550 in 416 Rigby. It wears the walnut stock but came with an extra laminate stock. Will this stock fit a Brno 602 in 375 H&H? From what I understand the 550 and 602 are very similar I just didn't know if the stocks would switch.

Thanks,
Bruce

No I will be holding on to the 602. I may just have to find something else to fill my extra stock.

465dbk,
I acquireed a custom walnut stock for a BRNO ZKK 602 in .375 H&H, and it required only opening up the trigger well to fit the bulkier CZ 550 Magnum trigger mechanism.

Taking your laminate stock for the CZ 550 Magnum, you should be able to just drop in the action if the bass ackward safety has clearance. Might require a little fitting there.

Even the CZ 550 Magnum itself, alone, has had some minor variations in the dimensions of the primary action recoil lug, so might require some fitting there.

Then the barrel contours and secondary recoil lug mechanism on the barrel may require some fitting differences between the 602 and the 550.

This is all minor stuff.

McMillan sells the same stock for both the 602 and the 550 Magnum. The receivers, magazines, and bottom metal are almost identical between the two, as it relates to stock fit.

I think it is easier to fit a CZ 550 Magnum stock to a BRNO ZKK 602 than vice versa.

Your stock won't go to waste. I will gladly take it off your hands, free of charge, and I will even pay for the shipping to me. Wink

RIP,
Thanks for the info. I am going to have to pass on your generous offer to take my extra stock. I guess now I just need to decide what caliber belongs in the stock.
