BitterrootCast bullets for 550 Magnum
Is anyone making cast bullets for the 550 Magnum?

tiggertateWayne Doudna had molds for the 550. He cast a 615 and a 715 grain bullet. Where ever that business went, so went the molds.

jeffeossoThe molds Wayne used belonged to Neal and I. I am not pleased. Load data is on ammo guide and pressure tested. Nef made the molds. I think I have a single cavity at home

BitterrootThanks,
I'm looking for a retailer I guess. I don't cast, and neither does my customer who we are building the rifle for. We're looking for someone who casts and sells them.

PhatmanTry the guys at the Cast Boolits forum.
Some of those guys have hundreds of molds and just look for an excuse to buy more and cast for them.
Cheers, John

Don55Bitteroot I feel youre pain.
I'm getting the details worked out for a mountain mold set for my 500 jeff.
Being as the case neck is only .300" I'm not real happy with the lyman or the lee slugs even tho they shoot great in my ruger.
Great bunch of guys at the cast boolit site, and you can learn much.
