| Is this a relatively recent gun? Reason I'm asking is because I had an older one and the wood was very plain and boring. Yours is great! |

| Ken, I've had the gun just a few weeks and I'm sure it was made in the last year. |

| A truly beautiful big game rifle in an all-time classic caliber. It looks "masculine" to say the least. Simplicity and beauty combined!
Enjoy... and may it be a "magic wand of death" on every creature you lay it's sights upon... |

| Spie,
Beautiful rifle!
One question........when you say it holds 5 416 Rigby rounds is that 4 down 1 in the chamber or 5 down 1 in the chamber?
Thanks, Dave |

The way the manual reads it's 5 + 1, but I've not tried it and I'm away until the end of next week. I'll let you know. |

| Gentelmen, those are 3 fantastic looking rifles for sure! I think I have opened this thread about 2 dozen times to gawk at them. I also like the stock design and I would imagine those rifles mount, swing and balance like a dream. I am going to save each of the pics. to use as guides for when I have my 375 H&H and 416 Rigby rifles built. Anyone have a link to the Heym website? I have looked around but, can't seem to find it. Regards, Dave |

| Appears to be some glitches in the website. Couldn't pull up the info on the big bore bolt actions. |

Some prices for Heym's in the US (all three have very plain wood - nothing as good as the pics above).
$5,500 for a .416 Rigby at Cabelas $5,600 for a .416 Rigby at Champlins $5,250 for a .416 Rigby at GunsAmerica
Heym has an escalating price stucture based on caliber and I would not be surprised if the 500 jeff was a couple thousand more than the 416 rig. The 600 NE retails fro $13K new from NECG right now. |

| Terry My wood is standard grade but I know the distributor and asked him to pick the wood. I wanted a piece with straight grain. Extra features on my rifle: Rose wood on pistol grip Gold monogram on grip cap Jewelled bolt all the way no bluening on stainless parts. Cheers, Andr |

Just returned from the range and the magazine will take a full 5 rounds This makes the Heym a 6-shot weapon, and that makes me feel good |

| Spie, I was hoping you'd remember. Thanks for the update. 5+1 is a real confidence builder! If you are going to carry rounds on safari they may as well be in the magazine. I am a bit surprised though as the rifle looks trim and does not appear to sport a drop box magazine. Regards, Dave |
