Here is SafariKids 600 OK....

I think its the only 600 OK to make it to Africa so far, and I don't believe any 550's have been there yet.

Cheers,
Canuck

Safari,

Congrats, you are the first to take a cape buff in Africa with the 600 OK. What 900 grain bullet did you use? A Woodleigh soft or FMJ??? Did you get a measure of penetration??

Last summer I had a chance to take the 600 OK, but backed off because of customs concerns. Just too cautious I guess, Smiler

I like the stock configuration. Was it stocked by AHR? Did they also provide the blank?

............I,ve been studying it and now I am starting to waffel on the ultra large bores...It seems someone even had mixed results with a 700,,,,,Does anyone get the car accident feeling from shooting their ULB... From what Jeffe wrote the 550 Express doesn,t seem a man killer........As I am familar with it I am compareing what I learn about these to the 500 A-2.......

That's one of the nicest photos I've seen, suitable for framing. Do you have a bigger resolution I could have as a screen saver??

I love the 10.5lb .600OK. WITH A FULL POWER Load that would be above and beyond! With the std load painfull but doable! To be perfectly honest if SafariKid and I can shoot so can you guys.! It isn't that bad!-Rob

Yes,I prefer lighter big bores as you carry alot more than you shoot, esp in Africa...also,I Never feel themm go off when I am shooting at DG!I am 6ft,240 but Ken Owens, builder of my 4 bore double and the one who has to regulate it,is 6 ft-140pds! TIP: Do not fight the recoil,Roll with it,no matter what you weigh..In fact, lighter guys sometimes do that better!! More pics coming....
