We are now up to 425 cases to be ordered. Five of you have ponied up your hard earned cash to buy enough 585 brass to launch the space shuttle! I'm going to wait till the 15th of May to order from Horneber. If anyone else wants-in you need to contact me by E-mail. -Rob

Mike I am not an expert on Brass or mettalurgy but from what I can gather he only has to purchase a little better or harder quality brass. He also needs to ensure his dimensions are more precise, from what I can gather this has also been a complaint.
We must also realise that Bertram despite our complaints, does play a role to some degree, and will service your need for obsolete brass when no other option is available. I have visited the Bertram Brass Factory in Seymour, Victoria and Bruce seems like a good bloke. And the factory seemed alright.
But when the chance came to get some better stuff I jumped on it. I have already purchased 10 Bertram cases and they are very soft around the neck.
500 grains has a friend who's .505 gibbs Bertram brass has got better with each fireing. Thats what I hope will happen with my .416 Brass.
I purchased 100 .416 Rigby Bertram cases from him and they are soft but they might work harden a little after the first fireing. I was not aware that Norma brass could be purchased without to much bother at the time.

Horneber also makes 505 Gibbs brass and it looks/works extremely well. As far as a Guide gun in 585 NYATI goes. It think that the retinal reattachment surgeons would love it. They will make lots of money! I can just imagine the number of folks at the local gun clubs walking around in upper body casts wearing eyepatches!-Rob
