Hi Guys,

I have been offered a BRNO 602 in .375 H&H with an old Ziess 4x scope fitted on QD mounts in good but used condition. I have not discussed a price as yet, what do you think would be fair? Can anyone tell me what the factory barrel length would be?

I would appreciate any advise on this model and things to look for when buying.

Many thanks,
Charly

this is the predecessor of the CZ 550 magnum .. If it has a popup rear peep sight, it is more desirable, largly due to better machining, than the not-popup.

use the cz 550 magnum price as a starting point

As far as I know, the factory triggers are it.

Not that I'm aware of.

I sent mine to AHR so that they could make a 3 position Model 70 style safety for it and possibly a single piece trigger. They were able to make the safety but, apparently it was too much engineering to come up with a trigger.

If anybody out there knows of a single piece (without the finger piece pinned to the trigger guard), I would like to buy one. I've put my 2 cents in with Timney but recieved no reply.

Is the Timney only for the 550 or can it be adapted to the 602. I actually LIKE the trigger on my 602 375 but I have the curved not straight set blade. Actually don't have any REAL objections to the one on my 550 416 Rigby.

The BRNO ZKK 602 trigger is indeed "pinned" to the one-piece floorplate and trigger guard.
The trigger comes off with the bottom metal.
The rifles came with two triggers originally, both the ugly forerunner of the Savage Accutrigger, and the normal-appearing curved trigger shoe, and buyer could switch according to his preference.
Parts is parts.

The bassackward factory safety is a mandatory $400 repair for parts and labor to get the wing safety that works in the normal direction. Add $400 to whatever you have to pay for that BRNO, if it has the factory safety.

That would be worth it to me, again, only if the rifle also had the integral pop-up peep.

Otherwise, a used CZ 550 Magnum is a better buy.

I did buy one of those .375 H&H BRNO ZKK 602s with the Zeiss/Jena 4x scope with QD rail built integral to scope.

Mine was already cut to 23" barrel when I got it, used, and came with the original stock and a custom walnut stock, and both triggers!

It got rechambered to .378 Weatherby 23" ... woo hoo.
It then got rebarreled to .510/460Wby and restocked with a McMillan.
The custom walnut stock for the BRNO went onto a CZ 550 Magnum in .375RUM. Woo hoo.

AHR charges $195 for there CZ550 Model 70 style safety. I would be surprised if they charged more for the BRNO but you can contact them at;
