Any members know of a UK based big-bore club or would be interested in starting one?

I do not hunt in order to kill, but kill in order that I have hunted.

Matt

Some time ago George Wallace then with the BASC and Carl Errikson formerly of DJ Litt had some hand in getting together informally a group of enthusiasts, I have forgotten the totle adopted but a few meets were held at the Minsterley ranges in Shropshire. I imagine that will long have bitten the dust as that was in the early 1990's.

I don't know of anything current unless you seek the job!! There are a large number of large bore rifle owners in the UK and I imagine therer would be some interest, but we live in a life where everyone is busy with committments and getting the thing beyond showing initial interest may be the rub.

Maybe something coiuld be done through SCI UK Chapter, they have a strong London presence and are active in fund raising etc.

Where abouts in England are you based?

Not from the UK but worked for a company out of Bath. When there I found a great gun shop; Crudgintons (spelling). Spent several lunch hours checking all of it out. The gunsmith there showed me a number of very nice express rifles. They couldn't get magazine on bowhunting, verbotten as understand it in the UK. Got them a stck of my old ones. We hit it off well.

Possibly they have customers that would like to get something going.
