I heard a rumour that the softs have been strenghenwd at some point in time to adress above 458 Win Velocities. Is that true or BS and when did it happen? | ||

They have been working fine for me since 2000 in my .450 no2 double rifle. I've noticed no changes. I use and love the Woodleigh 458Win 480grn RNS bullets and achieve the great 450NE ballistics with ease. Not sure if they have strengthen them though. Woodleigh did introduce a strengthened 375 bullet but sell it as a toughened option.  | |||

I haven't looked lately but it's not unusual for Woodleigh to make similar bullets with different part numbers for different impact velocities. | |||

As far as I'm aware the only RN they've discontinued recently is the #46B which has been replaced with the #46BHD - both 350g .375" RN SNs No other changes listed in their 2016 catalogue Formerly Gun Barrel Ecologist | |||
