A few months ago Hornady announced they would be loading the 416 Rigby. Price was purported to be very reasonable compared to the Federal ammo. I was just wondering if anyone has seen this on the shelves yet or in fact shot some of it. I’ve been using some Hornady brass in other cartridges and I am impressed with the quality. It is still listed on their home page. If you go near the bottom and click on Rifle Ammuntion under new products it is listed there. They say it will be Spring 2006.....I will try and give them a call and find out if I can and post it here. | |||

Trouble is, they stopped making and loading steel jacketed solids. Reports on their brass jacketed solids have been none too good. Mike Wilderness is my cathedral, and hunting is my prayer. | |||

I called Midway and ordered some items a couple of weeks ago. While I talked to the salesperson, I asked about the Hornady 416 ammo and was told it would be available late this month, we'll see. | |||

This was a bit disappointing....called Hornady today and talked to Doug. He said as far as he knew they were making/going to make 416 Rigby ammo. When I asked when it would be available, he said he didn't know, nor could find anyone who did know. | |||
