Sounds typical of single shot rifles shooting rimless rounds. Perhaps it would be better off shooting a .50 BMG flanged.

Yup that's mine. Al story built mine in 2000 I think. It's left handed too! He built the entire action on a manual mill. I still have the plans!- Rob

1400-grain cast lead "Darwin-Award-Winning" slugs at 1800 fps is more than enough for me and my NEF 12GaFH.
Kills on both ends of the NEF-er. hilbily
