GrenadierInteresting rifle.

Some of the old surplus will stick in chamber after being fired
Sounds typical of single shot rifles shooting rimless rounds. Perhaps it would be better off shooting a .50 BMG
flanged.

Here is another one of the 4 of those built in 1984 by Story Gun & Machine, over-sized Sharps-Borchardt action:
This might be another one belonging to Robgunbuilder, 12 Ga From Hell?:
And here is an even more quaint 50 BMG, a "beefed-up" 1874 Sharps:

RobgunbuilderYup that's mine. Al story built mine in 2000 I think. It's left handed too! He built the entire action on a manual mill. I still have the plans!- Rob

Correct bullet placement, combined with the required depth of bullet penetration, results in an anchored animal...

RobgunbuilderNote pic of 2000 gr bore rider which hits 1650 from the beast! Recoil is "stout" with a hint of muzzle flip!-Rob

1400-grain cast lead "Darwin-Award-Winning" slugs at 1800 fps is more than enough for me and my NEF 12GaFH.
Kills on both ends of the NEF-er.
