Bryan Chick425 westley richards
I was shown a couple of 425 Westley Richards rifles that had been used by Zimbabwe's Parks Service. Does anyone have any first hand knowledge of these rifles: how reliable they were, accurate etc?

boom stickBuy them first...ask questions later.
Just do a search for 425 WR and you will find what you seek.
More importantly....post pics of the rifles and find out more details on the rifles.

Frank MartinezI will buy one if available.
I would even be willing to use one of my .318 express rifles for trade. I have an LT stock takedown that I was going to use for extra Africa money.

AtkinsonHistorically the .425 had feeding problems and they went to a clip affair and that helped somewhat...Some folks liked them and others did not, and I always suspected that was determined by wheather they got one that fed or not..As to killing power they are right there with the 404 Jefferys etc...
The rifles you mention have some added collector value, and would be a very nostalgic firearm to own..I would think that any true African buff would love to own one of them.
Ammo and components, although not on every shelf, are available from Huntingtons etc.
