I'd convinced myself that I didn't NEED a .375 H&H until I went to a gunshow recently and found this little fellow looking like it needed a good home. I'm a bit confused as to it's age or lineage. It has the Interarms / Whitworth Yugo built action and Whitworth recoil pad. There are various hard to read proof marks along the wood line of the barrel and action but no markings on the barrel at all. Under the stock it lacks the British markings for "Tonnes per []" " so I assume that it's not a true Manchester built rifle. The barrel is drilled and tapped for an express sight which apparently has gone to that great parts bin in the sky. Anyone know a good source for a replacement? And it has the extra barrel mounted recoil lug bedded into some black bedding material in the fore end. It's an agile little rifle at under 8#, recoil with Federal's 270gr load (it came with a box of ammo) isn't bad at all and accuracy seems good but I've only been able to fire a few shots at up to 75 yards so far.

That's what threw me when I first saw it. I actually went home and used my Google powers to research the rifle before I went back on the second day of the show and bought it. I did find one reference to some rifles that were produced with short forends but no pictures. If it was shortened someone did a pretty good job of it. Thanks for the comments.

Nice procurement, Mr Rick- -Gotta love those gunshow orphans of questionable pedigree. They often make a loving addition to the familia.
