For all my fellow Blaser fans, I just talked to a fellow who should know and have been advised that the new Blaser R8 (which can be ordered with or without a detachable box magazine) will be available in a number of new calibers and one of the first of those is slated to be a .500 Jeffery! Whoooooo Hoooooooo!

I don't understand the thinking behind the detachable trigger group/magazine.

These features hold no appeal for me, and are, in fact, disadvantageous.

Hard to figure. bewildered

Looks like you can order one without a detachable magazine or trigger group.

I think these rifles give you a little change back from your $5,000.00 USD bill.
