I have looked high and low for some Speer 350 gr mag tip .416 bullets.I use to buy them like crazy but thought I had enough.I have shot over 2000 of these bullets.I looked and almost every one is out of them.I checked midway,Graf and son and a bunch of others noluck.I love these asmy reduced loadfor the 416 rem mag.Anybody know where to get any?

I've run into the same thing. I was able to score two boxes at Sportsmans Warehouse here, but as you said, all the majors seem to be out of them. A guy at Midway told me they still expect to get them in, but that Speer ran them infrequently, so Midway doesn't even take backorders on them. Frowner

I bought about twenty boxes of them one time when my local emporium was trying to get rid of old dusty stock from the shelves, long ago. About $8 per 50-bullet box. It has been a while. Nice plinkers or deer bullets in the .416 Taylor, or any .416. They will be back.

Why not call Speer and ask them when will they do the next run on those bullets? If enough "noise" is made about it, maybe they will push up the date, to answer the market demand.

I have 3 full boxes of the Speer Mag Tip 350 grain that I would sell as I have way too many 416 bullets. Midway lists them at dealer cost of 26.39 so I would be willing to sell them for 23 per box plus actual shipping cost.

PM me if interested.

Thanks.

338 guy, I'd like to have them. Dgr416 actually has first dibs on them since he started the thread, but if he passes I'll take them.

I've sent a PM to inquire about funding.

Thanks for the offer

Yep I gotta get them.I have alot of 410 woodlieghs but only a few 350 left.I am down to two boxes of 325 gr barnes x bullets also.Has anyone shot anything big with the 350 gr speer? It was supose to be a grand slam bullet but they released it as a mag tip bullet.I think its an awesome bullet.I shoot it with 76 grs of reloader 15 to get 2400 fps out of my rifle. Its pretty accurate also.I heard there will be a run of them this month I sure hope so.I would hate to see the least expensive .416 bullet disapear.

I have about a dozen left that I'm trying to give away along with some 325gr Barnes X. If someone bought the Barnes X, then the Speer Mag Tips are free...

Pretty obvious answer, prairie dog season started in May, about the time all the AR guys finished their 416 varmint rifles. Maybe next year Speer will produce enough for the demand.
