buffaloThat is excellent. I have waited for it for years...

reddy375I think more useful is the 602 set trigger, used in the normal mode. I like the feel of it.

boom stickThere are some cool new products.
The most interesting thing to me is the 416 Rigby over under double. I wonder if or how much you could rebore those barrels. 470 Mbogo double?

PhatmanGod, I love that company.
Every now and then they will reach back into history and bring us something nice.

You just have to love that.
I do wish they offered it on the 550 medium because it would be so sweet on the Medium Battue. That and maybe 375 Ruger.

Cheers, John
Give me COFFEE and nobody gets hurt
$350 INSTALLED
Will they retrofit it to previous CZ 550s?
Should work just as well on the Medium as the Magnum,
both use the same rings and have the same rear bridge contour ...

Talked to Triple River, one of their custom shops about putting the pop up peep on a 9.3x62 kevlar, back up sights for a foul weather friend. At the time, they said no problem, send it in. Plan on re-bluing when done, if I remember correctly..

Dago RedAnd they're bringing back the revolvers in the dan wesson line. very cool. I have a model 15. Pretty pricey though, for CZ. That's awesome, and 350 isn't too bad. I've not seen a picture of the 602 version in a long time, is it similar? How do they get it all to fit in that bridge, it doesn't look like it'd have room, amazing.

It looks like in addition to the pop-up peep sight, they have also modified the shape of the trigger and cocking piece. Looks a lot nicer, IMO, wonder if it was entirely aesthetics of if there is a practical purpose to it.

BaxterBKudos to them. Glad there are actually companies that seems to be 'listening' to what people may want and be open-minded enough to offer it to their customers.

Alberta CanuckViperdae- - - THANKS FOR THE HEADS UP!!!
I think I have just about enough points built up at Cabela's to get one of those for free. Had been wondering what I could ever want from them to use all those points...now I know. I think I see a 7x57 or a 9.3x64 ( whichever they come in) appearing in my future....
My country gal's just a moonshiner's daughter, but I love her still.
I have had a number of these rifles since my first couple in 1968 and now have just one which is going to Jan Kolenbrander to have Recknagel irons, an AHR Micky handle I found on 24Hr. and an AHR-Lapour safety installed. It is a re-barreled one with a 20" 9.3x62 tube installed and will become my backpacking rifle.
What I used to do was to drive out the express sights and replace these with a simple flat steel insert, tightly fitted and cold blued. These, along with P-64 Mod. 70s, when the single trigger is installed and tuned a bit, are my alltime favourite "working rifle" for wilderness work in BC.
It is simple, inexpensive and easy to do and I have found these ZKKs so modded to be solid and less costly than my beloved 21/22 series Brnos and my ZGs. I am most pleased to see this feature returned to the CZ-Brno line of rifles as it makes a good rifle much better.
Now, Alf, you show so many photos of various Brnos and I am a bit jealous...in a friendly way, of course. What is that very nice rifle, a 602(?) at the top of these three? Me likee!
Good point, Alf.
My favorite style rifle has just a peep and a front sight and scope mounting provision.
I'd do the Dewey-Insert to the factory rear open sight base,
the dognut on the barrel still functions for the recoil lug base underneath.
Rebarrels would leave off the rear open sight.
I only need a dozen of those CZ peeps, else I am stuck with the NECG detachable peep.

I got Jason at CZ to buy 404Jeffery's rifle with the flip up peep so they could copy it.
Looks like they did.

Hi Will
Yes that is true - I remember! and I am glad I was able to contribute in a small way. As you recall, my BRNO had the nifty pop up, and CZ needed a prototype. I had planned on restocking the rifle, but decided to sell and find something already finished.
BTW I am still looking....!

Better yet, maybe, is to grind off the standing rear sight leaf and use one of the flip-ups when you need it.
