quigleysharps4570 & Holmes,

Excuse me for my obvious poor choice of words. I take it you don't believe I ever had the 500 AHR. I actually never had it in my possession, but I did order one, it did come to my FFL, I just had insufficient cash flow and asked my FFL to sell the rifle for me, which he did. This went a long way towards helping me get my cash flow problems under control. I really don't feel comfortable sharing anymore detail than that.

I retract my comment.

Get a 458 win mag or lott. It has plenty of power to let you know you are shooting a big bore, but operating costs are relatively reasonable.

Unless funds aren't an issue, the operating costs of a 50 caliber or larger make it unreasonable for most folks.

While the 416 rounds are great rounds in their own rights, they are heavy mediums. The 375 is also a great round, but a medium bore.

I'm kinda partial to the handle, maybe it'll keep you honest and humble?
