Into my heart on air that kills
From yon far country blows:
What are those blue remembered hills,
What spires, what farms are those?
That is the land of lost content,
I see it shining plain,
The happy highways where I went
And cannot come again.

A salvo of large model rockets. Each sported ~1900 grains of propellant.

Besides the required (tedious) FAA FAR 101.22 notifications, the kids thought the mini NASA simulation and multi-thousand foot apogees were tip top.

Got my fair share of exercise today during the multi-mile retrievals....

I helped shoot a bunch of BIg fireworks at a party I was at.

However when I got home it was the 5th, so this might not count, but my wife went out to check on our ducks and guineas, and saw a snake. I went out and killed it with a 18.5" doubled bbled 20ga.

I think it was a Texas Rat snake, it was @5ft 8 inches. Eeker

Tried out my new 375 H&H barrel for Blaser R-93. Mounted a Leupold 1.5-5X scope and then loaded 69gr of RL-15 under 260gr Nosler Accubonds. 5 shots off of tripod sticks @ 30 yards to get it on the paper. Mostly I wanted to see how much it kicked...it's only a 7.5 pound rifle.

. That would be a nice easy shooting load .. I shoot 74 gr RL15 with the 270 gr bullet in both the H&H and the 375 Ruger .... It,s an easy to remember load .. How much shorter is the action length of the Blaser than say a standard length action ??? Does it make for an overall shorter rifle ?

69.0gr was Nosler's most accurate load and their starting load. I'm working up my loads and breaking in the new barrel both at the same time. Only 17 bullets down this tube, not counting factory proof loads.

I don't know the R-93's action length, nor a standard action length.

Overall length is 43.3".

Length of pull including recoil pad is 14.3"

Barrel length (muzzle to bolt face) is 25"
