I have found the 9.3x62 to be as effective as a 375 H&H on Buffalo..A 320 Gr. bullet at 2350 FPS and a 300 gr. bullet at 2400 ain't chopped liver....thats out of my 26" barrel..I am building a 9.3x62 with a 20" barrel and will report on its velocities when I get to the range this summer. ------------------

MikeD, I'd consider a 9.3mm to be a 'medium-bore' just like the .375. For me, big bore rifles start at .40 caliber. George ------------------
