<Mike Dettorre>Does a 9.3x62 Count?
Is it technically considered a big bore or do I have to wait till I grow up?

For those who like the larger calibers, from 375 and up to the 1.008 Vincent Buffalo Thumper
It is OK for the African forum but not this forum

AtkinsonI have found the 9.3x62 to be as effective as a 375 H&H on Buffalo..A 320 Gr. bullet at 2350 FPS and a 300 gr. bullet at 2400 ain't chopped liver....thats out of my 26" barrel..I am building a 9.3x62 with a 20" barrel and will report on its velocities when I get to the range this summer.

GeorgeSMikeD,
I'd consider a 9.3mm to be a 'medium-bore' just like the .375.
For me, big bore rifles start at .40 caliber.
