Just visted Aspen Ridge gun store(www.AspenRidgeArms.com) in Jefferson City Missouri. It is new and the owner and sole employee is Matt Jarrett. He is very nice and he had lots of interesting guns for sale. A 1 of 50 big five Winchester in 458 Lott. A Ruger 77 in 416 Lott and a #1 in 1 0f 500 in 30-06. He also had a nice looking Remington CDL in 35 Whelen. I am left handed so none of those tripped my trigger except maybe the #1. It sure was nice and it was light for a #1.

Forgive the smart-ass, for he knows not what he does.

That is a great selection of big bores for a new, small operation. I hope he does well, but the big thumpers typically don't sell very well or very quickly.

I have been to many a gun store (as opposed to specialty conventions, shows, etc.) and have seen a total of one .458 Anything on the rack.

And for the smart-asses, a .458 Anything is anything in .458. pissers

It must be something about Missouri. I do a lot of business with a store called Jacks Sporting Goods and Hardware in Camdenton Missouri and they have ammo in just about any caliber including 458 Win. Maybe that is how they stay in business right next door to a Wal Mart Supercenter.

Aviator,
If you ever make it a little south and west to El Dorado Springs, check out the Bargain Store Gun and Pawn. They have a great selection of used guns and not even Wal-Mart can beat the prices. It is located downtown on Main Street.

As a general rule, people are nuts!
