You forgot that he would reply to your letter because he felt it was his obligation to do so. He felt that if there was a new shooter out there willing to listen to what he had to say, it was his responsibility to keep him on the right track (me). In fact, almost all of the OLD SCHOOL writers would respond to your enquiries. The thing is, once you've been brainwashed in the big bullet way of thinking, you'll find that it holds true today.

Yes i know Elmer Keith had bad spelling and grammer and a aweful type writer but his books are awesome.If you have never read them do knock them till you tried them.He was way aherad of his time.We still use lots of his ideas today.I grew up on gunnotes in Guns&Ammo when I was young.His words were true and ideas still work.I read Hell I Was There then bought Shotguns for .50 and bought the rest of his books.I am now working on a complete signed set.I have 7 out of 10 of his books.
