Has any one used an Escort semi-auto 12 gauge? Any pros or cons? Looking to buy one for Christmas present.

i bought an escort about 4 years ago and had it for 4 months.when i first used it it shoot 6 rounds sweet as.then after that it was forever jamming.it would constantly blow out o-rings and then the firing pin broke so i got rid of it.an auto loader is going to jam at one stage or another but this was just rediculous.i know of at least 4 others who have sheered the same sort of problems.my advice would be to stay away from them.they are cheap but at the end of the day the most important thing with semi's is that they are reliable.if you are short on funds but want a good semi have a look at the remington spartons.they were originally biakals but now are owned by reminston.a good mate of mine has shot with one for 4-5 years and i can't remember him ever havibg a problem and we shoot a lot of ducks.

I have one and I have only had 1 problem. When I load it up all the way with 5 shells. When the gun chambers the 4th shell, it kicks the 5th one out onto the ground. I don't know why it does this but it only happens when the magazine is fully loaded. When I am using a plug and waterfowling, I have had no problems.

Life is too short to be taken seriously, it is only temporary and none of us are getting out of it alive.
