You should go with the Remington Cort-Lokt Sabots Or the Remington Buckhammers that are new for 2003 they supposively shoot 3" groups at 100 yds

3" groups at 100 yds. are NOT acceptable in a good slug gun, especially the Encore. [ 02-20-2003, 22:52: Message edited by: small fish ]

All ivr used is the old foster style slugs in the smoothbore so it, was ok groups to me. The 1 1/2 inch groups were with sabots, Right.

1" to 1.5" groups should be the norm in a good slug bbl.I don't have an Encore slug bbl.(yet)so I couldn't tell about that.My 870 with Hastings bbl.(12 yrs old)shoots that well along with my Benelli M1-90 that does better than that.

I was thinking more like 3" groups @ say 200 yrds my 1187 will shoot 1" @ 100 with rem. copper sabots .I hope my encore shoots well at 200 . If it ever warms up a little here in WV. I'll find out.

TrapShooter Yes they are sabots with a fully rifled bbl.3" groups at 200 yds would suit me just fine and dandy.
