Exactly as Holtz said--no magic, unless the gun patterns best with it.....Chuck

Check out the powder manufacturer sites (hodgdon.com, alliantpowder.com, etc). In general, it is best to keep tapered hulls (STS and AA) with wads designed for those (AA and Rem wads), and the straight wall cases (gold medal, cheddite) with wads designed for them (i.e. fedS3, etc). I've been buying titewad powder, and it seems to do well -- a bit dirty, but no dirtier than say the Red Dot from 10 years ago. JMO, Dutch.

I like the Remington STS hulls best. Win AA's are OK, but the new ones are two-piece. I prefer the one-piece hulls. WAA12 wad, Hodgdon Clays powder, and Win 209 primers. As the others have suggested, go to Hodgdon's website for load data. Clays burns pretty clean for me. Seldom anything left in the barrel but plastic on the choke tube. Tim
