The gizmo that works is a fold-up wire, with a base you have to stick to the receiver.

As much as I love (and shoot) A-5's, they aren't really trap guns. One alternative is to set the bronze friction piece to "high brass" setting, so they will not eject. Otherwise, just pick them up!
